The following piece was inspired by today's message in church, "How Real is Jesus to You?" by Jim Simpson.

Are You Still Here?
Virginia Salter

Are You, O Lord, still in my heart?
Have I left some room for you?
And in my head, and in my soul
does Your love and power come through?

When I make my steps toward my goal’s designs,
is it pleasing in Your sight?
When I lift my hands to do my deeds
do my acts reflect Your light?

Do I know Your love, do I know Your heart,
do I know Your will for me?
Do my ears listen, my eyes seek,
my thoughts focus well on Thee?

Help me, Lord, to seek Your will,
envision with clarity
The words to say, the moves to make,
the direction upon life’s sea.

Sanctuary much, both of you!  I forgot to say what inspired this piece so I'll put it at the top of the poem.

VAS,

Your poem is a Sunday message all in it's self

worthy of quotation....... I suppose after the Lord comes into our lives, we should make sure once in awile that He is still residing there within us?     God Bless You,  Bob <><

Wow VAS, this was truly inspired from the heart! How often have we asked the Lord, "Am I all you wish me to be?" You said it perfectly!

Your words convey that  the message really touched your heart in a beautiful and spiritual way to encourage you to ask such heart and soul searching questions.  You've painted a picture for me of a person whose desire is deeply seated in serving the Lord. I hope that you found that God charted course that you are to follow.  -Bob
