When I awoke this morning
My thoughts were on the day
I felt an inner peace
Cause before I sleep
I pray

I asked for God to give me
An answer only he can find
Trust, love and hope
Meaning, to give me
Piece of mind

He granted me
The request I made last night
For when I awoke I heard a bird
Had thoughts of you
And it just seems right

Love one another-let God do the worrying,

Wow! When God answers our prayers like that, it sure makes everything all right with the world.

It's good to pray for simple things, such as a bird on your windowsill. Such a prayer answered will reinforce your faith, and such a prayer unanswered, you will be able to shrug off.

God so often answers prayer in ways so different than we might expect, but your poem tells me you're aware of that, and just open to anyway He might answer. I enjoyed it and do hope to see more.
