When I was a small tot,
My Daddy's arms were strong.
He'd hold me on his lap
And sing an old church song.

And then he'd set me down,
And give me a bear hug.
Remembering all this,
My full heart feels a tug.

Mama not to be outdone,
Would greet me with a kiss.
She included so much love,
My small self filled with bliss.

My husband, my children
All gave unending love.
I knew I was receiving
These blessings from above.

When my grandchildren came
To fill my heart with joy.
I had my share of hugs
From each small girl and boy.

Hugs from God, I'm getting,
Though given by another.
All good things come from God,
In one form or the other.

Joyce:  This is a sweet poem.  I was thinking this morning about hugs we get from children and how they really are hugs from God.

This was a nice message... "All good things come from God" was a very profound statement.
I think this poem was rather sweet.

Having grandkids here on spring break, I,too, was thinking they're like hugs from God.  This piece was so sweet, too.  Thank you.

Beautiful! the arms He uses are human arms to give the best hugs, for sure!

A friend hears the song in my heart, and sings it to me when my memory fails.

Superbly sweet and a poem with great flow.  Love the nostalgia and the giving praise to God, the Creator of all that is good.

Joyce,

Hugs............ Hugs............... and more Hugs...................

We can never get enough as proven by your childhood memories and present day experiences.  A very nice poem depicting a family filled with much love.    Bob <><
