Into a morning pale and cold,
I went to watch the day unfold.
The eastern hills were rimmed with light.
A rising sun turned back the night.
Some sleepy birds began to sing
Of pleasures that the day would bring
and over all, the sky was bent,
To capture prayers, as they were sent.

"Morning, evening noon and night,
"Praise God," sang Theocrite." That's from someone's poem I dredged up from long ago memory, but you and your poems reminded me of it. Lovely. Joyce

Excuse me, but I just had to say...

these lines are profound-

"and over all, the sky was bent,
To capture prayers, as they were sent."

God bless you and your talents for his glory,

Stephen.

I love the vision you created of all those prayers rising to God..this is so inspiring

A friend hears the song in my heart, and sings it to me when my memory fails.
