Life’s Isn't Fair

Each complicated intricate being
formed in months for birth
Did nothing to merit one part of life
to live on this earth

Each bodily system synchronized
making us alive
Is one of uncountable multitudes
helping us survive

We suckled unearned nourishment
which made our bodies grow
And were taught the fundamentals
for all the things we know

God orchestrated everything
that we may know His care
Yet often He can hear us say
some things just aren’t fair

Just when and who ever authorized us
to use a measure
When every gift we can ever possess
God gave to pleasure?

Pondering on these things, I came to know
this life ISN’T fair
My God became a man and died for me,
a sinner, to spare

What did He do to deserve the lashes
that He took for me,
Abuse by thorns, nails and crucifixion
death at Calvary?

Certainly there’s none of it we call ‘fair’
It is called true love
For me, a sinner, so unfit and so
undeserving of.

Great minds, Sandgrain. We do seem to be thinking along the same lines from a little different perspective. Very nice. Joyce

Very nicely stated, sandgrain. He certainly did not deserve His stripes...He would not have received them had He not allowed it, had He not loved so greatly.

btw, you don't need the last 'of'. Your message still comes across and ending with a preposition is a no-no.

Rae; This is so lovely and the next time I dare think that my situation is unfair, I'll remember your words. Love is always the answer...Ellie

This certainly gives much food for thought. I'm sure all of us at times think life is not fair, but we don't always take that thought a step beyond to how much sacrifice made our life possible. Thanks.

sandgrain,

In comparison, whatever we face in life is so minute compared to what God has given us. Very heartfelt thoughts expressed in that your words seem to come direct from the mouth of God. It is a great comfort to me to know that I am never alone in my sufferings.... God certainly does understand. Bob <><

Mom this one made me think deep. We sure are undeserving for all He's done for us, though rarely do we see it that way.

Thank you for a wonderful reminder.

Joyce, Thanks for responding and seeing the like thinking.

VAS, Thank you so much for your comments including the grammer help. Was looking for something to rhyme with love, when I selected the boo-boo.

Ellie and Betty, Thank you both. I rarely thought in terms of unfairness of life, for Christ suffering so undeservedly. I was thinking about something seeming unfair in life, and it came to me how totally unfair was everything done to Him. Only perfect love could have brought Him through, it's true.

Bob, Your comment overwhelms me. It is comforting to we're never alone in our suffering, and also that we're never given more than we can handle. I've sure wrestled with that, but He is faithful.

Whtdove, Yes not only are we undeserving of the multitudes of blessings He's bestowed on us, but He didn't deserve the horrors He endured on our behalf.
