Anxious to start her adventure,
She put on her soft denim jeans,
Then flew off to her favorite place,
Which was often a part her dreams;
Arriving, she perched on a mossy rock,
And dipped her toes in the pond,
Catching sight of a little frog,
As a squirrel sat by a small frond;
Her little wings swayed gently,
As she sat in her favorite place,
She held a soft, lop-eared bunny,
That nuzzled up close to her face;
Spring was just arriving,
In her secret little glade,
A kiss from a fawn brought giggles,
As down beside her he laid;
Soon there was a baby fox,
And a beautiful, miniature dove,
Surrounded by toddling creatures,
When from behind, she felt a shove;
A tiny, playful, pure white lamb,
Nudged gently to let her know,
It was time to leave her special place,
Though she didn’t want to go;
She silently got to her little feet,
Her delicate wings spread wide,
Saying goodbye to all her friends,
Through heaven she started to glide;
Over the clouds and through the stars,
Waving hello to the moon,
Holding a sweet remember,
Of the friends she’d see again soon.

Reminds of that place where the lion will be able to lie down with the lamb.. true peaceful existence.

Bonnie,

Your poem about the sweet little cherub is so tenderly descriptive and leaves no doubt about her childlike character and the personalities of all those little creatures. I liked the butting lamb the best. Adorable. Bob <><

How adorable. So sweet and charming I often think you really do have a canvas and brush unlike the keyboard I work from. Reminds me of precious moments.
Bless you. Keep 'em coming.
