I searched far and wide; I scrutinized each corner of the earth; Only to come up empty Because I did not give my heart to you. I asked around, I waited impatiently for an answer To my pleading soul; I found no peace that night Because I didn’t surrender it all to you. I pointed and clicked Every place I could think of; I dialed each number in my book, But found nothing Because I failed to see Your open arms. Repetition filled my days; Useless habits of searching All proved fruitless Because I left out the only one Who could revive my hope And breathe new life into it. No more will I search Each corner of the world Or carry on with these routines Before checking in With the only one who could fill my heart With the companionship I’ve been tripping over my own feet To find. I won't go; I won't sleep; I can't breathe until you're resting here with me... |

 WoW!!!!! Can I ever relate to your poem.I have done the same, even right now...... filling my time with pointing and clicking that could be spent with our Lord Jesus Christ. True, there is a void within all of us that only He can fill and no cheap substitute will ever replace the Love that He has for each of us when we give our time to Him. Love ya, Bob <>< |

ellie: thank you! yes, it is all too often that we forget this important truth, which I have known for pretty much all of my life. I truly don't know how we do, but getting caught up in our 'everyday' will certainly do that.  Mark: my dear friend, it is you I must thank for inviting me in here in the first place! and what a wonderful place it is. Thank you for your kind words, as always. I just hope to keep on that 'path' instead of turning my eyes to the temporary situations.  Lighthousebob: Thanks!
