Alone with you,
I am quiet and still.
The echoes of worldly peace
grow insignificang
and drift far away.
Undisturbed by call of routine
or commitment
or expectation.
Unencumbered by earthly pursuit,
my heart shifts into clearer focus.
I hear your words,
I feel your love.
I know your touch upon my heart.
You reach out;
you renew me...
in mind,
in body,
in soul,
and in spirit.
Slowly, your love fills me
and I am complete again.
Until the alarm goes off,
and I am forced to hit
snooze.

LOL, I like this one.  It reminds me of a prayer that's above one of the doorways in my church.  It's a prayer to God, thanking Him for preventing the speaker from sinning thus far.  Then it ends with something along the lines of "now I have to get out of bed and prepare for my day".

LOL! I've seen that one, too. Thanks for your kind reply!

This is a good poem....Being alone with God is like a dream come true.  If I was experiencing what you were, I certainly would have hit the snooze button a few more times before awaking to face another day of cold reality... Heck, I might have never gotten up.  I enjoyed much,  Bob <><

Welcome to Spiritual!

This was lighthearted and a well needed laugh! I too would have hit the snooze again.
I hope we get to see many more from you!
Again Welcome!!!
