The evil ones best
tools
are fear and guilt.

Fear being
the opposite of Faith.

Guilt the sure sign
of self-hatred
and the inability
to forgive
oneself.

There are spiritual
laws,
that God has set
in place.
One being...
that He takes all
those dark times,
when we are at our
worst,
and turns them
into seeds of growth.

He turns ALL things
to good.

If by Grace,
our faith is strong,
if we but open
our hearts
to His passionate Love,
we receive the wisdom
to forgive ourselves.
Thus to embrace
who we are,
failings and victories
alike.
Only then can we
reach out
and forgive,
most of all,
Love one another.

Belief is a truth held in the mind; faith is a fire in the heart.

Joseph Fort Newton

Ellie,
Wise words that could only be spoken from experience, I'm glad you share such wisdom here to bless us also on our journeys.

Oh ELLIE,
what a wonderful treatise full of wisdom, no doubt born out of life experiences-and of finding the answers through the LORD which work!  This is a gem--worthy of widespread distribution!  Keep up the wonderful mission
of enlightening & giving hope!   David

To put together words & rhyme--and touch a life--is so sublime! Thank God for such precious contact! (D.L.White)

Well said Ellie! I've heard it said, and gave much thought to it, why is it we can forgive others, but find it so hard to forgive ourselves?

Are we thinking we're too perfect, that we can't make mistakes? Even though we know we're not perfect, I guess in all reality, when we can't forgive ourselves, that's what we're saying. How could I possibly have done this? Guilt is Satan's tool, and we do need to remember that we are human, we make mistakes as well. If God can forgive us, then we better be able to forgive ourselves as well.

This is a treasure Ellie!
