it was only two weeks before christmas
it was only fourteen days after your birthday
in between two happy days
I lost you
I beleive in God and the healing in Jesus' hand
but on december 11th
the tears fall and they will not stop
I cry for loving you
I cry for missing you
I cry for our brother who never knew you
and our sister who hides her pain
When I travel
I think of you
when I write
I think of you
I wish you could see my new home
I wish you could see my class room
I wish you could see my paintings
your voice rings in my ears
your hugs are imprinted in my mind
my bathroom is decorated in butterflies
just for you
I knew you loved them
so I wear them
paint them
hang pictures of them on my wall
when I see one flying by
or sit among them in the pavillion
I feel you all around me
holding me
even though I can not see you
could you ask God a question for me

why?

Allstaria~
Hon, my heart hugs yours.
Knowing this loss and also not fully understanding it,
I've asked the same question of Him -

I don't have an answer ...
but He does send small comfort - eventually.
I am so thankful for the memories of my sister
and find myself retreating into them as the tears continue.

Bless you.
*Hugs*

In heaven we will have no need to ask why, the reunion will be just too overwhelmingly sweet. Your poem brought tears to my eyes, as I know that kind of pain too. God bless.

No reason's we will know, for many of life's heartaches. What we must do is cling to the hope we have of eternal life, knowing one day we can reunite with loved ones that have gone on before us. Hold tight to Jesus, he will show you the way to endure with hope and grace.
Butterfly hugs for you,

Tears are in my eyes as I write this.
Very touching, open with so much emotion.
Wonderfully expressed.

This is heartwrenching! I'm so sorry for the loss of your sister. I also cannot give a reason as to why, but God knows what happened.

What really stuck out with me here is the loving memories you treasure, and cherish.
Butterflies you paint and wear, all in her memory. I'm sure she watches you from above, and I'm sure it all makes her smile knowing you love her so much.

I'm sure she'd want you to be happy though.
Such loving words that you've written beautifully. You can feel the sorrow, as well as the love that has flowed through your pen. Writing is often good to release emotions, and help in healing.

Thank you for sharing something so dear to your heart.

God bless you!
