O God, is this me?

Is this the essence of my dreams?
I hoped of Forever,
Forever in your grace
on the darkened earth
I breathed by your light
Your truth set me free

Yet Lord, where is freedom now?

I hear the sea
I feel the breeze
I see the waves
the casts of your love
I long to be one
with the glittering sand,
to live the ocean and
emit the cry of the gull
with my own voice
to be, to breathe
with the world you have made

Instead I walk alone
a solitary figure of fallen man

For whatever reason you were drawn here, I'm glad you're here, I hope you stay!
Your poems show some despair in your life as well as with your belief. We have all been there trust me. I would really like to talk with you...email I guess, I don't see you have icq.

But keep writing, cause I enjoy your work that you've shared with us.

hey, K, this was breathtaking. Wonderful beach description (and interesting font!)
However far away, being fully within the scene, whether beach or god, is possible. I don't know how but it is there somewhere and I know that you will find it.
