Life is a Gamble--but one Worth our trouble, Invest it right, and it will more than double In fact, Jesus said, one hundred fold now with persecution I'll pay, Leading us unto Bright Eternity's Day! The Value of Life is found in God's Will, He made us of Worth, and seeks our Worth still-- Tho' sin has corrupted, and caused our decline, He gave us His Son, as Heaven's sure sign! Life is a Gamble, invest it well, Friend, For Judgment is coming, What will be your end? How sad to heap riches and make that our goal, For nothing can replace the loss of our Soul! There's danger below as we live day to day, So easily we can be turned from the Way But God who forgives, forgetting our sin, By Christ Grace can give us the Vict'ry to win! ------------------ "Our Creativity points to a Higher Creator--we couldn't have just happened, and for what ability we may possess--to God be the glory." -dlw- |

Isn't it so true? I loved the lines "How sad to heap riches and make that our goal, For nothing can replace the loss of our soul." It made me think of casino's and the gambles people make there - and how a person who has the treasure of salvation is by far richer than the one whose soul is lost. At casino's people put money on a guess, but isn't it awesome that we don't need to put money on a guess, because we already know the truth! Sorry for the sidetrack - the point being that this poem made me think - i loved the message and love the way it was written - excellent stuff!!! |
