She asked me a question
and I shared with her the anwser
and yet she still could not believe
she said nobody loved her
and Christians shunned her name
why should she believe
in their God
what has she got to loose
pain and heartache she blames on Him
and so she turns her
back and tries
to live her life
alone
with no one for a guide
I told her I would die
for her
if just to give her one more day
to find the love
that waits for her unclaimed
she says she can't believe
me
even though I say it's true
I tell her that I love her
though we will never meet
she asked me how this could be
I told her it was the least I could do
my God has given everything
to me
I stood in Hell
and killed my own soul
I tourtured myself for fun
He saved my life and gave it purpose
with the innocent blood of His son
He watched His child die
upon a cross
so I could have eternal life
so I tell you now
a God who gives His
everything
deserves the same from me
so as Jesus commanded me
I'll love you as myself
and step into the world
with a joy and light filled heart
and gladly take your place
I only hope it will
remind you
of so long ago
when a perfect man bled
I will not be afraid
when it's my turn.

Allstaria, this is a very noble piece of work, it sounds to have the ring of truth about it...a wonderful premise of your allegiance to Him!
