From the far side Of your fields I cry out to thee When my vision is nearsighted And the circumstances of my life Have overwhelmed me My innermost being Knows that Help is available Just for the asking So in my distress Like a lamb I cry out for you To lead me to The Rock that Is higher than I For you are the good Shepard Who looks after your sheep Compasionate and kind You lovingly lead Gathering me up in your arms When I can walk no further You set me on the Rock That is firm beneath my feet In the cliff of that rock You protect me with your love. Thank you Jesus. [This message has been edited by Septsong (edited 06-27-2000).] |

Dearest friend; I so love this magnificent poem and what a confirmation it is for me today. From my little promise box, that I pick from every day, my verse for today is: He shall feed his flock like a shepherd: he shall gather the lambs with his arms and carry them in his bosom and shall gently lead those that are with young...Isaiah 40:11 Thank you for this inspiration today. Love, Ellie Summers haunting melody that awakens the butterflies, calling them to join the dance in their silent song of praise to God. ellie LeJeune |

Oh Septsong, How beautiful this is. "When I can walk no further, You set me on the rock", How many times He has set me down there. Wonderful poem. Bonnie |

Your poem so reminds me of the 23rd Psalm. True, In life I become dis-focused and I begin viewing myself more like a charging bull rather than one of His lambs. Thanks for bringing me back into the arms of the Good Shepherd. Bob <>< |

Rose I don't know how to describe this. What words to use to describe perfect beauty! So biblical and you just put it together in perfection! I love it! |

Dear Septsong, This poem is so humbling. When we, flesh, get tangled or go through trials feeling dispare, look to Jesus for our source of strength, our rock. Beautiful poem and I love it! [This message has been edited by Alle'cram (edited 06-27-2000).] |
