Make me whole. Lord, Take my heart and make it Both sensitive and strong Or must I choose between the two? Show me what to do I don’t want walls around my heart A place where I can hide But freedom is too much for me My heart runs free, runs wild Again I’ve fallen for a girl I’m falling way to fast I’m looking for the things I missed In my history past You will restore the things I’ve missed I know it’s true, Your word insists But do you use Your people Or is this an instant fix? Is she here to free me Or make me run to You? Why do I crave acceptance When I am found in You? Do I embrace the love she gives Endangering her space? Or do I walk away from her And seek for instant grace? Take my heart and make it Both sensitive and strong Teach me how to get there So I won’t be alone Douglas Bailey |

One thing, God is not the author of confusion. He doesn't tend to do quick fixes. Does He work through His people? Absolutely! Something about the sincere honesty, and heartfelt plea in this really touched my heart! Seek ye first the kingdom of God, in all things. Whatever the outcome, if left in God's hands to deal with, you know it will be for the best. He will not give us what will destroy us. Only what's best for us, even if we don't see the reasoning of why at the time. I really, really liked this! God bless you! |

Thank you for your encouragement! I've always been amazed at the beauty of poetry and how people can used it to share. I never could understand any of it's rules though! I asked God a while back to strenthen me and He brought along someone who touched my life in the three temptation areas of Gold, Glory and Girls. I was confussed but discovered what was happening WHILE I was writing one of my other poems "Open". Praise the Lord. Now I know what to do and am going to get some boundries set with this girl.
