Change is as inevitible
as the seasons in a
year.
As the tides that are
pulled by moonglow,
so the changes in a
life.
Our lives ebb and flow
as the tides.

Here is where serenity
eludes our souls,
in the persistent battle
to resist all change.
Why?

Because our wills are
stubborn,
and without wisdom,
as a child.
Therefore our need
for You.

Let us therefore
surrender to Your Holy
Will, dear Lord,
that we might flow
with the eternal tides,
and changing seasons
of Your Will in our
lives.
Learning acceptance,
gaining the Grace
of serenity.

Oh ellie, This is a beautiful piece!
My need also, look to God for understanding in life's changes before allowing "self" to get in the way of God's will. Your heart reeks purity and love for Jesus and your poetry is a great inspiration to me. I appreciate you so much and you are precious.
I loved the analogy used in this prayer/poem.

Dear Ellie,
Let us thank God for the changes of each day & major jubbles which result in favorable outcomes. Sometimes our life does seem stick--and we lose hope as we lose a sense of being able to change! Thank you for this lovely reminder- with the Lord change can & will happen. Great message, David
