I'm looking around this crowded street in some down town corner of the world where too many people come to loose themselves in the pit of broken dreams and everyone I see is my brother and everyone I meet I love but sometimes I know they don't beleive that these things could be true and sometimes I want to hold them and make them beleive till they cry all their tears and forget all the things they should have never seen and wonder where You were when they fell down and placed the crown of thorns on Your son's head so as I look at all these people and the love they do not feel I wonder if I can really do anything at all do they even want my love do they beleive me or laugh at me as I turn my back to go who knows? maybe there is someone here who truely wants to live and all they can do is wonder who amung the crowd will show them how to love. Isaiah 1:18 "Everyone loves a rose, will you be thankful for the thorns?" |

Allstairia; I've had these thoughts too and I like the way you've put it into verse. Prayer is the answer, lots of it. Ellie 02 |

You are such a tender hearted person. In my younger days, I see so much of me written here. You go the way God calls, everyone needs love even if they don't admit it. Be an example of the Love that God has for each one of His children. His love shines through your words and heart. |

Allstar, Again...wonderful poem...I just loved the way you ended this thing. You are such a strong closer...I really admire that. It is a gift. "I wonder if I can really do anything at all do they even want my love do they beleive me or laugh at me as I turn my back to go who knows? maybe there is someone here who truely wants to live and all they can do is wonder who amung the crowd will show them how to love." You go from being kind of depressed about the situation to being positive and hopeful. I like that about this piece. What I definately love about this piece is the way you challenge the reader with the last two lines. Maybe you meant it maybe you didn't but it is a challenge non the less. I am so looking forward to the next post. This is wonderful challenging stuff. Jfreak By the way...are you a missionary or have you ever been a missionary or are you planning on being a missionary b/c I have been on the field and I am going back once I get out of the Marine Corp and you just seem to have a missionaries heart. Could be wrong, but just wondering [This message has been edited by jfreak (edited 06-14-2000).] |
