Here I am reaching for you longing to turn to you that's all I want in the night I need you to touch me as daylight shines upon us the days I always get through but when the sun goes down that's when I feel so alone I need you to hold me I read a book I think about you put it down I think about you make a coffee I think about you wash up a cup I think about you watch the clock I think about you turn on the light I think about you when I hug my pillow I think about you I feel lonely because I miss you why don't I try someone new? because I'm afraid I'm afraid to give like I did to you! ------------------ There are two ways of spreading light: to be the candle, or the mirror that reflects it... RainbowGirl - Real nice thoughts. Very well expressed .... Been there. Done that. Got tired of the view ... gave myself a another chance and felt life bloom anew. Life came full-circle, and love took a chance on me. After the heartache was over I knew just who I'd be. No more afraid, though I understand the fear. Hope you turn around real quick and find that love is near. ------------------ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ [email protected] |

I had NO idea I was that hard to get over! NOT! (I normally hear something about riddance and rubbish). Your poem is well written, Rainbow. |

I'm just coming out of a situation like this...It is like an addiction, not healty, but while one is addicted, love that is just comfortable and happy isn't enough...It's like we need the ying and yang, the excitement, the danger...Ugh! Nicely written! Only one thing I would change, were it mine... "a coffee" to "coffee" But then, that depends on what part of the world you hail from. Corinne |

Hoot: we all need to know we are loved, not just for now but for always..:-) HUGS Marge: When love is truly meant, it will be known, there will be no escaping it! HUGS Bal: You arrogant clown....You're as soft as they come, not hard at all...ooops...but you know what I mean, thanks for the laughter..:-) Now then, this survey, hmmmm, not quite equal, a few ounces difference I believe according to the hand that measures..*g* HUSG Corinne: I couldn't agree more, ying and yang or getting the balance is so true.. and ROFL @ coffee... Can I ever relate to this. Great expression of your feelings! Don't be afraid to give, somewhere, someday it will all come back to you 10 fold! |

Whtdove: That being the case, hurry up my future love because oh boy, do you have a treat in store for you...ROFL...Sorry, I was imagining me loving someone 10 times over, they'd probably die of heart failure..*g* HUGS ------------------ There are two ways of spreading light: to be the candle, or the mirror that reflects it... |

I know that feeling ... the French have a colloquialism for that : "je t'ai dans la peau" ... word for word translation is "I get you in my skin" ... Iknow, I know, we're funny people .. ROFL @ heart failure ... but I can't imagine a better way of dying ... HUSG [This message has been edited by JTF (edited 11-26-1999).] |

JTF Je t'ai dans le peu Il pleur dans mon couere C'est tres magnifique Paul Verlaine - ca musique Pardon my French, just trying to make a rhyme, about something close to my heart. But wish all the passionate poet's could read his verse. It gets in your skin! Elizabeth Rainbow, Many of us have been through the same storm. But you are a raibow. There will be an end. Your poem is beautiful Elizabeth |

******** Tears Fall In My Heart Tears fall in my heart Rain falls on the town; what is this numb hurt that enters my heart? Ah,the soft sound of rain on roofs, on the ground! To a dulled heart they came, ah, the song of the rain! Tears without reason in the disheartened heart. What? no trace of treason? This grief's without reason. It's far the worst pain to never know why without love or disdain my heart has such pain! |

JTF I don't know how to thank you for the poem. I can recite this poem which I memorized in my youth just from having read it so many times. But didn't remember the spelling of the words. only the music of it.Paul Verlaine is the greatest poetic musician or musical poet, whichever you choose, in all of poetry. And he is the one who has inspired any musical quality in my poems.I had never seen the translation of this poem and was happy that you also posted that. La lune blanche Lui(?) dans les bois De chaque branche Part une vois Thank you Elizabeth |

RainbowGirl, You've touched my heart with this one Not only because I know all too well how you feel, but because I cant help but to "feel" for you in your present state. Beautiful poem, well written and expressed. It all gets better in time!! ------------------ Life is what you make of it... Not what you let it be |
