state of confusion

Childhood memories
Umbrellas clutched
In small hands
Blustery, rainy day
Stormy charcoal seas
Mirror the sky

Wet crust on sandy beach
Siblings in a race
Desperate to fly
Heaven within reach

Free, felt so free then
No worries, no cares
Just my brother and me
Walking on the wind

having lost many that weree once close, I was moved by this. Much loved Corinne, the last two lines brought a lump to my throat its the image that I picture.

Thank you, U K Hero. That is probably the nicest thing anyone has ever said about something I've written!

Sorry though, to have reminded you of pain...
