I watched them tear down the Wall in Berlin. I smiled as I watched them celebrate. The potential for world peace did begin. Western freedom they sought to emulate. The wrecking ball echoed across the world. Communism had fell out of favor. The flag of freedom righteously unfurled. Democracy's taste they learned to savor. Euphoria washed over me in waves. On the virtues of peace I did expound. No longer would they be terrified slaves. The valium's effect was indeed profound. Surgery would soon paralyze my leg. Chronic back pain would then of course ensue. I felt like Humpty-Dumpty, that poor egg. More pain came to me than I ever knew. Soon after, a piece of that wall I owned. With morphine cocktails did I celebrate. Memory is clear though my mind was stoned. The wall's fall my pain does commemorate. ©1999 DreamEvil ------------------ Now and forever, my heart hears ~one voice~. DreamEvil© |

Nice, Dream. I liked this I have been to Germany but never made it to Berlin. Personally was glad to see it come down. Older people had very little problem getting out. Government did not want them if they were not able to work to support themselves. There was tragedy on both sides of the wall before it came down. |

Interesting remeberance to be "stuck" with as a commemoration to such a wonderful. A shame that is what was left to remind you, rather than good things. My heart to you brother. |

Intriguing, as always, Dream. The subject matter you write about and the depths of emotion you glean from it never ceases to amaze me. Michael |
