All is quiet, glancing fearful at the wall The clock tells me five minutes Five more minutes of disquiet freedom The table is set Dinner is ready and served The T.V. is rotated The proper amount of degrees His slippers are by the door Two inches apart, turned outward The Sports section lied folded Left over right, five inches from His favorite beer mug Sitting quiet at the clock Slices my freedom into seconds Into the past One minute Thirty seconds Ten seconds The key sounds in the door And my captor walks in the house Alicat idly musing 11-22-99 |

What a position that I'm glad I'm NOT in! Well done, Dear 'Cat! [This message has been edited by Sunshine (edited 11-23-1999).] |

You depict, with this, an all too real scenario for many souls...it is such a shame, that such happens. Very well written, love. |
