A Plan of God Awakened she on bed of steel And none to tell her if it real For there she be and there she lay For more than just forever's day And not to eat and not to sip And not a word come from her lip And none to rise her from the bed She laid in blood beneath her head Not bothered she by hunger pain Nor force of wind nor pouring rain But only want to take away The sight of wound in light of day Then rose she up in trembling weak Unabled step a step to seek Then sought she slow the water's hole To cleanse her wounds and cleanse her soul One foot upon the tile of clay Removed her gown in light of day The cold on foot took breath away And fell the child and there she lay And naked truth then watched the lone The naked child on bed of stone In unpredicted silent way A darkness came in light of day She laid alone on marbled floor While life blood from her wounds did pour And death came round this child to find But God had not this plan in mind For he would see her in the light In place of winter's snowy white And there she sits forever more A soul arose from marbled floor Elizabeth Santos |

Elizabeth, More than a touch of sadness I must confess. But then I could say no less. Well done. |

A plan of God but not of me A plan to set the spirit free In peacefulness the spirit fills Pennsylvania's lovely hills And wonders at the wonderment Of feathered bird from heaven sent And questions not the marble floor And lives in peace forevermore Elizabeth |

Dear Elizabeth, Your tone and rhyme worries me. For between the lines I see, A black bird calling off and cold, A black bird sounding much too bold. I would the true no misconstrue, For I really do care for you. Sy |

The voice of pain It echos clear In the words That you've wrote here My heart goes out In desperate plea To take the hurt And pain from thee Elizabeth, Just take my hand As friends together We will stand Against the odds The hurt, the pain Till you can stand Alone again Elizabeth, my heart longs to heal your pain, take from you this sadness. Please dear, if there is anything I can do, do not hesitate to let me know. My thoughts and my prayers are with you. Hugs Ruth ------------------ Alis volat propriis (She flies with her own wings) |
