Drinking You In

I was picking up the dishes
After you left today
And for some reason
I picked up your glass
And put it to my lips
And when I did that
The scent and taste of you
Still lingered there so that
Sipping from your glass
Was like drinking you in
And I wished with all my heart
That you had not left,
That you were still there
With me
