No words need to be said for I see what you cannot speak The sounds come from your soul as tears stream your cheek Spread your wings beautiful bird, I know that you must fly I will try to give you air to breathe and not bother asking why The memories that we shared will never be stored for long You who gave to me my voice, who taught me life is song Regret nothing, for I refuse to let sadness stifle our memory I know in life some things are and some aren’t meant to be We shared a piece of heaven in our world built of two Yet of this day spoken not, we both always knew Some things are forever, and some only a moment in time And when the end is happening it is not always a crime Sleep sweet in eternal dreams your work here now is through A dream parent you were to me and I think somehow you knew All I am and all I will be is because of all you are The light is gone from your eyes, in the sky it’s now a star. ------------------ Let my words fall first upon deaf ears before a closed mind... |
