Brand Names Of Love ~Marge Tindal~ 1999 Your love is the joy I feel when flipping through the 'Rolodex' of memories. Each event is captured like a 'Poloroid' moment. You are stored in the c:\Windows\of my mind. You are the 'Coca Cola' of refreshment. Indeed, you are 'The right one, baby !' You are my 'American Express'-ion... I wouldn't think of leaving home without you. You are 'two scoops of raisins' in the 'Kellogg's' of my mind. You are the 'Nike' of my spirit when I need a jump-start. You're the 'Cadillac' of class... when I need to be driven. The 'Energizer' of my life... you keep me going...and going...and going. It's therefore no surprise that I think of you as my 'Coffee Mate'. The first thing I wake up to each morning, and my 'Nytol' at night. No name tags needed here, but ... Can't believe I missed this little gem In a "casual corner" of the forum This play on words she wrote so well It must have been Victoria's secret But Calvin was inKleined to tell He de"claires" that it's the "best" And "Annie sez" the very same thing But that's the "hallmark" of your style You know, Marge, you are quite a"macy"ing I like the "structure" of your verse There is no "gap" of cleverness You "express" the "target" of the p[oem With "limited" words but thoughtful jest Don't let this poet get away Back her up against "the wall" Let's tie her up from head to "foot Locker" up and throw the key But "sear"iously, you overwhelm You could be called the Wizzard of Oz Let's go down to old Pier One And have ourselves some Haagen Daas "Liz" |
