Don't Push Away You turned away to hide your fear, and mumbled something I could not hear. I felt the pain you tried to hide the degrading shame and comments, snide. I reached you you shoved me away. I couldn't help but pout and feel dismay. Your troubled eyes and furrowed brow cannot disguise your pain now. Share your grief in life- with me! Let me help set your troubled soul free. Don't push away! I know that you care! we can triumph all IF we BOTH dare! (written April 9th, 1999, for my friend who was really depressed, but wouldn't tell me why..) ------------------ "Some people aren't worth a puddle of ant pee in the middle of a dessert when it's 100 degrees in the shade." -me |
