In the fridge he kept his good stuff Bologna, mayonnaise especially lettuce, cool and crisp wrapped in towels, loved cool and crisp he did. No soggy or limp for him, no. Why you always wait so long to put that there lettuce in they asked him. The sense of taste, you know, he told them. Lacking cool and crisp so long a man hankers for this here big smilin first bite. You could see it in his eyes, yes. |

Ya gotta love a man who loves his baloney and goes through such meticulous preparation....and ya gotta love a poet who can write about it! |

Now ..... you done gone and made me HUNGRY! Martie .... reminds me of 'LETTUCE Entertain You.' I love it. Ran to the fridge to check the supplies for a bologna sandwich Dagwood size. Got the stuff to build it high ... and then I'll regret when it ends up on my thighs ! ------------------ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ [email protected] |

Thanks you guys. This poem was all Balladeer's fault. The Vienna Sausage poem made me hungry and all I had was Bologna. |
