Gone Fishing ! ~Marge Tindal~ 1999 Out on the lake, down by the lea, my love and I went fishing. All the while with baited hooks... we'd sit there just a'wishing, that the old mudcat would come swimming by and find where we were at. We'd reel him in and start to grin and laugh at our very own luck. We'd cut him loose and watch him vamoose and then we'd catch him again. That old mudcat thought he could fight, but he soon came to know when it comes to baiting the hook ... he'd just met the pro ! A fishin' we will go. A fishin' we will go. We'll catch a mudcat just like that ... and then we'll let him go. That old mudcat met a thinker ... he fell for it HOOK, LINE AND SINKER ! ------------------ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ noles1@totcon.com |
