Old man winter touched my nose (for anyone that loves snow) |

Awake again to cloudy morning alarm clock rings of my dismay every second seems forewarning another bitter autumn day. Asleep and stumbling out the door I smile as my spirit grows. Body warms right to the core old man winter touched my nose. Crossed eyed and curious I stare at the marvel upon my face the perfection lying there with hopes to save me from this place. A snow flake white with purity offers to leave the past behind as had the leaves fallen so quickly so did the troubles from my mind. No more responsibilities for here my youth has overcome I glow with possibilities cold and yet comfortably numb. A horn awakes me from my dreaming I run with haste to catch my ride The child within my body screaming anxiety forced to subside. The day drags on it seems forever outside the window nature does mock I plan a secret snow endeavor stopping only to watch the clock. Eternity soon came and went And I now glowing head to toe run for the presents god has sent to lose my self amongst the snow. |

Kevin, This was beautiful. It brought a warm smile. I loved the imagery and feel to this poem. I too, love the freshly, fallen snow. cross eyed sounds right to me. |
