'Neath swaying oak boughs I seek, Searching for what I have forgotten. My heart's fluttering is becoming weak, Tender as the rays of a dying sun. Leaves of emerald grace my skin, A velvet shroud of nature's mystery. My quest for the heaven's now begins, Though no defined path do I see. Evening shadows blanket my soul, Casting about a dreamy twilight. Only glimpses of you do I know, For darkness will not grant me sight. I fear to tread these steps alone, Without a hand to guide me there. Only when your light has shown, Will my eternal skies be fair. So as I stumble within the night, Please do not loose sight of me. Together we can have an angel's flight, And within love's embrace, simply be. ------------------ *Krista Knutson* "To be great is to be misunderstood...." - Ralph Waldo Emerson |

Great poem my friend! I enjoyed the imagery and found some lines quite catching. "'Neath swaying oak boughs I seek, Searching for what I have forgotten." That line caught me for some reason. You snagged me quick, Krista. ------------------ "All is gone except the will to be." - Metallica - "For Whom the Bell Tolls" |

This is VERY beautiful...I envy hat gift...all of your poetry is so eloquent...it just rolls off the tongue. ------------------ Thinking is just what a great many people think they are doing when they are merely rearranging their predjudices. |
