- I know posting in multiple forums is frowned upon, but this was met weel in Dark, and I wanted to see what everyone here thinks of it-

A solitary figure in the mist
Surrounded by mirrors
But it doesn't matter-she is blind
Black roses spring up
In every spot she treads
For each step brings her closer to her last

Ruby blood is dripping from her hands
Rusting the jealous grass at her feet
It envies her freedom
And loathes her for taking it for granted

But she doesn't feel the emerald blades
As they slice hatefully into her
At her feet, she sees only clouds
And above the stars are so bright

She is a poet- a dreamer
The forlorn wanderer, always alone
As she is alone now
With ruby blood dripping from her hands

But-had she once visited reality, she'd have seen;
She was the most beautiful angel
Rising from the ashes to meet a moonlit destiny
And everyone else- they were the ugly ones

But poets and dreamers live only in their fancies
And that's where she is now
With ruby blood dripping from her hands
Angering the rusty grass
And coloring the clouds crimson

Thinking is just what a great many people think they are doing when they are merely rearranging their predjudices.

Excellent. Very well conceived, and equally well written.
