Friends are like petals of a flower
beautiful, but very delicate, can easily
be found and easily lost

Requiring a little tender love and care
to survive amongst the unknown,

Innocent jewel of nature, prancing through
the pastures of life, looking for the beauty,
looking for a friend

Exemplifying the beauty of all that one
would like to be, the radiance
of a friend is a reflection from you to me,
the image of a friend

Never asking for much, never asking
for anything, just being, being what one
is suppose to be, being a friend

Discovering this beauty is like a gift
from up above, cherished from the
start, cherished with my love, valuing a friend

Summer nights of winter storms, entangling one
another, testing the waters of a friendship,
you have always been that beauty,the beauty
of a true friend.
