It's hell to say I gotta go, Hope ya all remember old Toe. It's been so grand, my memories are great, Leaving ya all is something I hate. I've met such dear friends, so many talented folks, and I've only replied, With silly-assed jokes. But from my old heart, I want ya to know, You've all meant a bunch, To this old worn out Toe. My health's been a bitch, My days been so long, Nuthin's gone right, It's all gone wrong. Except for this place, The love you've all shown, It's put a smile on my face, More than you've known. So many talents, Too many to name, Balladeer and the crazies, And the "Justin' sanes. I pray that you all, Have Holidays so fine, that you prosper and flourish, After nineteen ninety nine. Let's all start out a'new, Take care of the many, The folks that have little, Let's give them plenty. Ya don't realize, What it's like to be poor, We have so much, We don't need any more. A simple gift giving, Whether gifts or ourselves, Can bring happiness to many, To others brings wealth. We all have computers, And this wonderful site, Some will have nothing, On this Christmas night. Can ya imagine a child, With a mother so broke, That a meal is a present, And that ain't no joke. Some of you have, A family that cares, Others have nothing, To enjoy with or share. So remember those that, Are less fortunate than us, Share your love and your wealth, Give one a Christmas. This is my last "poor" attempt to a poem....for probably quite a long time....I've enjoyed all of you...all the jokes, the fun, the heartache, the sadness, the illness and just all the great fellowship I've found here.....Hopefully I can visit now and then....To all the "newcomers"....you've discovered gold my friends....A treasure beyond compare....Folks that care, and share and just bare their souls...To all you other "alumni" here....you've been great...a blessing...and great great friends to me....I haven't replied to all of you fine folks, for this I am sorry.....But to those of you that know me at all..ya know how deeply I care for you and this site...It's been just fantastic....I guess if I had to pick my favorites yanno it would be Balladeer and LongJohn...cuz they're such nuts....and I miss Lucie terribly...she's a damn genius....WhiteDove's been an angel to me, as has so many others....and I think my "ribbon" would run outta ink if I were to list all of you....You've all been so kind and just a blessing to me....I've been through surgeries, legal problems, death threats and many other things you all know nothing about with the exception of maybe Rainbow and dear Suthern.....but I have appreciated and cherished all of you...Please have a wonderful Holiday...keep this place going now ya hear?..It's a "God-send" yanno?.....Old Ron has done real good don't ya know?......Yall behave, and keep all this great poetry and love amongst yourselves going forever...Okay?...Luv ya all.....Toerag...... |

Take care. Was a pleasure to read your poetry. You can learn a lot about a person by how he or she expresses themselves. You would definately fall into the good people category. Your "poor" attempts at poetry contain a wealth of gold hidden therein. |

Wiping tears! Man, I sure am gonna miss you terribly!!! I'm glad you've come here and your attempts certainly aren't poor ones Toe! They are heartfelt and wonderful! Toe, there's nothing I can say here. I'm putting these words down so that you know I read your piece, as I do all of them, but what I feel towards you and our friendship makes it impossible to say goodbye. Dear Toe... There's no such thing as "just another poem" from you... for it's always "just another treasure." Even now, when circumstances are pulling you away from a place that has meant so much to you, you're directing our attention towards those who need our help. There are so very few people through the course of my life that I can say without hesitation "I'm a better person for knowing you." You, my love, are top of that brief list. Whatever roads you take, my friend, I pray your every step is blessed and that your every day be full of happiness, peace, love and laughter. |
