A Journey Long Long ago and far away I thought I knew the future day For it was written in the sands And etched upon the hour hands But I was young and thought I saw The perfect answers to my call Life seemed a swiftly flowing stream And just ahead a splendid dream But somehow life just blinked a blink Abruptly laid me on the brink So slight the visionary's yaw So far the spirit came to fall How could the hand of God proclaim Such bitter sorrow to my name A treacherous path and journey long To reach the place of soul's belong A question hard of nightly taunt The fragile heart in daunting haunt But grew the mind in twist and turn To reach the place of wisdom's learn And now the past is just a dream A misty cloud obscurely seen Through windy storms of thunderous sound The spirit easy walks around And life now swiftly flows to seem As sparkling crystal mountain stream Elizabeth Santos |

Elizabeth, The beauty of your crystal mist Behoves this soul to insist. You are the poetress of my dreams. And captured my heart and mind it seems. Your words have spume a golden web, About an old and wounded head. I think of you throughout the day. In essence and a special way. And have built a secret ivory tower, Where I think of you by the hour. It has towers of poetic curve. With golden verses of observe. and I read them one by one And never care if I get done. Love ya Sy |
