A PERFECT MATCH

How could she know, how could she tell?
Can she really know me that well?
She sent her package day before
I brought the tree home from the store.

Of decorations I had nil,
So I threw a few on the bill.
Decided gold and burgundy
Would be the colors on my tree.

The ornaments all set in place,
I felt a warmth upon my face.
For it had been many a year
Since I had felt such Christmas cheer.

Yet in my heart, was still a sigh.
A silent tear in my eye.
For in all the joy a tree may share,
It wasn't the same without her there.

But her package arrived today.
Touched my heart along the way.
Opening it up to behold
An angel of burgundy and gold.

A perfect match for the tree,
Sent from the "perfect match" for me.
A decoration of love so sweet,
Christmas is, as I am, now complete.

Thank You Gennifer,
With all my love.

Michael

Ok...that is so odd!  Here's the story on the angel I bought you.  I had the idea for the poem that went with her...and halfway through I thought, "Hey, I could buy an angel ornament to send with this!"  So, off I trod in the holiday rush, to 4 different stores, looking for the "perfect" angel.  Most all the ornaments were already picked over, so I almost lost hope to find what I was looking for.  The last stop I made, I found her, tucked underneath a pile of snowmen and Santa's.....I saw her, and immediately knew she could carry my love to you for me - on angel wings.  Her face was soft and loving....so I snatched her up, and ran to the counter with her!  Little did I know, she'd match your decor perfectly!     Funny how things have worked out for us from the beginning, and we don't even have to try....This is the most "effortless" relationship I've been in...Magical to say the least, and I don't even have to try and be someone I'm not.  It's so much nicer that way...I love you....I'll hush now, so I can hit the submit button!  hehe  So pleasantly surprised to find this here....Thank you.

Oh yes.... A bond as this - where we think each other's thoughts - and speak each other's words... is truly a blessing.... isn't it?...

I have a feeling my friend, that when two hearts are so closely entwined, one can read the other as they can read their own!

Love moves in strange ways my friends. . . your hearts are one. . . your spirits are one. . . truly this is meant to be. . .

My wishes to both of you for a wonderful and warm holiday season. . . no need for gifts, for you have already given the greatest gift of all. . .
