The scent of bread fresh from the oven
Of cookies baking, cakes and pies
Of sweet breads, ginger spice and cinnamon
Bring wandering flab upon my thighs.

It seems I don't even have to eat them
Just the scent can add 10 pounds.
Why is that there are so many then
When we gather in these Christmas crowds?

There is no way to avoid these treats
They're everywhere this time of year
From candied yams to stacks of sweets
They make me smile from ear to ear.

So if this poem's making you hungry,
Digest it wholly have no fear.
This entire poem is labeled fat-free
Unlike other things this time of year.

May the season greet you with loving kindness and joyous wishes for the upcoming year.... Rob

You get BIG smiles out of me on this one!  LOL
I loved it, as I'm always trying to read labels, and watch my fat & sugar intake!  ARGH  It is miserable around the holidays....All the temptations, and so little will power!  hehehee  Thanks for sharing all these goodies with me!  You have a great Christmas, ya hear?  Say hi to "mom" & dad this Friday for me, ok?  Hope you guys have a great time, and then be sure to pass them on to me for Saturday!  LOL  Love ya big Bro....happy Holidays!

Well, the average American gains 8 pounds between Thanksgiving an Christmas I'm told.  But look at it this way, if we didn't, what would we do for New Year's resolutions?  Good poem, Robert...how about passing me those yams now...LOL

RSEvans -

Fat-free and lovely,
a treat from Passion's place.
I'll read and read
and stuff my face.

Thank you, friend.
It fits my plan.
'Melts in your mind ...
NOT in your hand.'

Thank you for this scrumpdiliumptious treat.
