December's Flame is dedicated to all the wonderful new friends I have made here during my short time at Passions. . . may you all have a happy holiday season and may the new century bring all of us closer to the one dream that we all share. . .

. . . a dream of peace. . .

Burning within each of us,
The flame flickers through the year.
But reaches its height this last month
To spread the warmth and cheer.

But when the New Year comes in,
That flame dies down.
The warmth and cheer become embers
And smiles become frowns.

So my wish for you and yours
Is a simple one, it's true.
Keep December's Flame within your hearts
To shine the whole year through.

A simple request..but so hard to accomplish! I echo the sentiments you've expressed here so eloquently, Sven! If the 2000 members here can find a way to live peacefully, perhaps the world can find a way...maybe the rest of the world needs a little more poetry! Thank you.

Sven, I am so glad I was finally able to make your acquaintance...and this piece is truly wonderful. I hope as well that all can keep this flame within them glowing for another year, if not a lifetime.
