DOES SHE KNOW

Often, I wonder does she know
I feel it when she cries -
And just how deep it pains me so
I cannot dry her eyes.

Often, I wonder does she feel
Me by her side at night.
Or believe the dream to be real,
When nothing else seems right.

Could a single notion from me
Give warmth from bitter cold -
Bring her a smile for all to see
From a heart of pure gold.

Can the eyes within a picture
Show love to one unseen.
In hers my heart is set astir,
Mi-Lady and my Queen.

I sing her to sleep every night,
In dream I hold her near.
Where gleaming eyes by the twilight
Never again may tear.

Is there more to do, I wonder,
The days, they pass so slow.
I'd give up all to be with her,
Still I wonder, does she know?

Stunning, Michael.  Does she know?  Yes!  I love reading the poems the two of you write for each other.

 It matters not how strait the gate;
How charged with punishments the scroll;
I am the master of my fate:
I am the captain of my soul.

Is there a language beyond words?  You express it so very well.

Beautiful Michael!  And I am certain she knows just how lucky of a woman she is!

How could she not know with all the love you write for her?

Beautiful, just beautiful.

Beautiful, Michael,
Why don't you send her this poem and melt her heart!

I would think that even if she didn't know before, she certainly does now. Personally, I think that since she was smart enough to land you, she has known for a long time.

If a woman decides you are hers then you are doomed and your fate is sealed, not that it is such a bad fate with the right woman.

I really felt this poem. As well as the others. I had to say awww, out loud a few times.

really beautiful poem Michael...it is hard sometimes as the distance dulls the feelings and make you ache to reach out and pull them close......great job

Awww.....Michael - it's just as beautiful as when you read it over the phone!  I love it when you read to me a poem over the phone, and then I get to come here and see it....where I can read it slower....soaking up every word...and sometimes you get that little "frog" in your throat when you read them to me....    So, I just want to say thank you again darling...this is truly beautiful.  And yes, I do know.  I love you.
(chuckling at DE's humor !)  You know Dream, you're quite the guy!  I knew you'd see it my way eventually!  LOL   ......sigh......he IS mine.
