Tears fall
And I lay saddened by the night
And its dreary cycloptic eye staring at my body
The sounds continue
Those itter bitter sounds that make you worse
I sense death
Someone has to be dying right now
I weep harder
And realize
I could be next

Yes, this is sad. Sometimes these thoughts hit us from out of the blue! I try not to dwell on them.

Welcome to Passions.  This is a sad one, but don't dwell on the fact that it could be you. Instead be thankful it wasn't you!

Someone very wise said life is so much more meaningful once we've looked death in the face.  Tho to some it's morbid thinking, to me it's reality, just another part of life.  I really enjoyed your writing.
