           A definition

There is a spot within us all,
Where catch as can and all does fall.
And it floats in and out our themes.
But mostly in and out our dreams.

It's something that we can't negate,
Perhaps I think a part of fate.
And seems to guide us through our life.
Whether loving heart or damning strife.

It instigates our very roam,
All our phantoms and our poems.
Our fantasies, our life and true.
Our thoughts of all but mostly you.

You cannot see this thing in see,
But feel the largeness that it be.
Nor can you weigh the weight of it.
Nor can you call the brave of it.

It's only attributes its goal,
Some call it by the name of soul.

Sy,
I liked your lovely definition
Of that phantom apparition
And yours does truly overflow
With grace and wisdom we all know
It holds the contents of your whole
This phantom by the name of soul

This is very beautiful
Love ya,
Liz

I know I posted a response to this poem quite a while ago, but perhaps I posted it on the wrong poem. It may turn up where we least expect.

I call it indigestion but soul works, too.

Nice poem, Sy. Well thought out and presented
