I remember that evening months ago
like a seed falling on warm ground
Feeling a pull, a need so basic
once together it was so natural

I remember your beauty, your eyes
and something else deep in you
Like sadness covered with courage
yet there was such calm and sweetness

The seed started to sprout as we teased
The long glances were like water
Your smile, your face, your eyes
Those lovely pools that I fell into

When we danced and touched
your arms were like roots spreading within me
Your kiss was warm air and sunlight
making a complete and living thing

Now it is dried between the pages of a book
A book that is opened every time I hear from you
I never fail to look at it
and remember that evening months ago

It is done growing now
but oh what a wondrous thing it is
For it produced a seed
that may one day grow again

TomS -

Welcome to Passions.

Your thoughts are just lovely.
I hope the seed blossoms.
Quite a 'gardener' you are,
tending these words so expertly.
