A Kiss ... A Sigh
~Marge Tindal~ 1999

A kiss, a sigh
and then goodbye.
My love, you're gone again.
When will you return
so the fire will burn?
I'll be loving you until then.

Return to me when the night
has reclaimed the light of day.
Love me again with the fervor you had,
before you went away.

Waiting and watching
I will be ...
on a kiss and a sigh
return to me.

Martie -

The magical muse finds
it amusing to arouse me
from my slumber.
I did try counting sheep,
but kept forgetting the number.

So here I sit penning thoughts,
I hope someone will keep.
Hoping that a friend is also
'walking in my sleep'.

*Just keeping you company, gal.

Well, Top O' The Morning to you, Hoot.

Didn't mean to make anyone sad.
That little muse was running around
like a romantic little fool
just crying his little heart out.
Kept begging me to pen his thoughts.

Must be the rainy night in Florida !

I LOVE THE COMPANY OF FRIENDS !

Your poem is so sweet, honest, but oh so sad as well.  Just reading it made me feel warm inside and ready to dream sweet dreams of my loved one.

And a magical muse it must be.  I'll have to put one of those on my Christmas wish list.

Marge(y)
I do know - I have just penned a poem at the nice time of 1.30am. My eyes are drooping, but my words are my breath and until they slow I cannot sleep!

*smiles*

Lovely poem as usual - ever write duds?!

Quest-
Ah, be careful what you wish for.
My muse has a sister !

Severn -
Little one ... I know what you mean.
Thanks for liking.

Elizabeth, my friend -
One muse sleeps ...
the other keeps vigil.
Thank you lovely lady.

Nan -
Thank you.
The noctural muses came to play.

The muses write
into the night.
Sending a smile your way
at break of day.

My thanks to you and your midnight muse for this lovely piece Marge....
