In the space between moments

Her eyes dark as the onyx skies,
Reflect within heaven's tears.
The lustrous moon elegantly cries,
As he aches to hold her near.

The Fates have sliced the thread,
Which bound her to his side.
He'd gladly give his life instead,
And be swept away upon the tides.

Crumbled and falling to his knees,
He bellows rage to the gods above.
Emotion strewn upon the seas,
As his trembling sobs mourn love.

With a whisper, the time does melt,
As he hears her song once again.
Her brilliant spirit is warmly felt,
As he now remembers what had been.

Onyx eyes still brightly shine,
Within heaven's crystal tears.
The starry nights now his sign,
Showing him to have no fear.

Alwye, this is sad, beautiful, and well written!

Nail to the mast her holy flag,
Set every threadbare sail-
And give her to the god of storms,
The lightning and the gale!

Krista this was sorrowful and pain filled.. a very good read, and emotional piece.  Great writing, my friend

Alwye -
This is absolutely beautiful!
The 'onyx' is beautiful way to
describe both the evening sky
and the reflection of the eyes.
I just love it !
