Love could have taken an easier path Long valley thorns Desert sand storms Hurricane seas One or all of these Love could have taken an easier path But it did not And now you're caught Wrestling your plight Fighting the good fight Love could have taken an easier path But it chose you To suffer through This road to take With heart at stake Love could have taken an easier path But if it had Would you be glad For what would not be And to be pain free Love could have taken an easier path But there it is The same as his A road to share But how to get there Love could have taken an easier path But it demands so much more |

I really like this one...... love is the most honored thing (to many, not all) to have, and it is so hard to come by. ------------------ Thinking is just what a great many people think they are doing when they are merely rearranging their predjudices. |

I think this is a sentiment that most understand, and you have said it so well. |

Nicely done Mr. Scott......my paths of love are usually dead ends. (come to think of it, most of my "loves" had "dead ends" too?....Oh well....some of them paths are one way yanno? Many have "No U turns"....and some are hilly and bumpy and have potholes.....And poor suckers like us keep traveling those same paths into oblivion?...... |

, Andrew. Don't ya just sometimes wish there was a roadmap? ------------------ I look forward to tomorrow, while looking back on the past. But today is the day I am living. And I expect it to be a great day! |

Andrew you speak truth in your poem, and it likes me much Excellent writing here. LOL--Toe you kill me I learned to read maps so I'll never have to ask a man for directions! heheheheh ------------------ "Tread softly, for I have spread my dreams under your feet"~~William Butler Yeats |

Andrew, I think that is why love is so great, because it DOES demand more. It is our inspiration and our motivation. |

There is much to your words Andrew. Indeed, an easier path might not have yielded the same appreciation...Good poem. Michael |

Lady Hoot: How appropriate that you should be the first as this piece was mostly inspired by your recent travels. I hope they lead to beautiful pastures. Marilyn: Looks like the Lady beat you to it, but thank you so much for the attempt. Sey: Your stuff is tops... thanks for lookin' in. Lady D: Good to be back... thanks for noticing. Ms. DeVine: Your time and words are most appreciated. SD: Thanks for checking in... glad you liked. Martie: Thank you as well. Toe & Ohme: I got a feeling if there was a road map we would all end up in the same place, and boy what a mess that would be! Caroline: And we like you too! Tara: Ditto that! Michael: How true! Thanks for checking in. Pepper: Last, but never least... I bow to you and all the above for your kindness. Thanks One and All! Man! I just hate it when I forget how to type, spell, and proof read.
