In trying to compose a sonnet
As done by the finest of poets
I have to ponder upon it
Quite a bit even though it's
Simple to write one I've heard
Fourteen lines in all
The first line rhymes with the third
The second and fourth should fall
In rhyme in such a way
That a-b-a-b, etc.
So on and so forth to say
Whatever the thought is to be
But it never turns out like I want it
Hey Nonny Nonny, Pissonet!

(thanks Ruth and Mason)

To Ruth for the book...
To Mason for the sonnet...

Excellent verse and I am glad to see your return to these hallowed halls.

Now and forever, my heart hears ~one voice~.

Hey Toe....Nice verse (I will not be the one to say this isn't a sonnet...lol. 10 syllables to each line of a sonnet..*sigh*)
Since you will only be with us for a few days....I left a christmas gift for my friends and family in prose. I consider you a friend so...please have a look.

I wouldn't know a sonnet if it hit me like a snowball in the face, but I liked yours.  Hope you have  Merry Christmas.

In the dew of little things,
the heart finds its morning
and is refreshed.

but....but....Nan told me I passed?..(I mean, I gave her all her nekkid pictures and negatives back).....I did all those "sexual favors for her?....and....and...and....I still can't write no sonnet?.....Oh well, maybe I can find a great looking, young, hot, nekkid lady tutor?.....Yea...that'll work...then I'll be able to write a sonnet! (And even if I can't....I'll probably still be quite happy with myself...ya think?)

Sonnet tutor in search of position (or several *EG*) Mind you, I'm not great looking, young, hot, or nekkid (at the moment) but can be a lady. If you don't learn to write a sonnet (and with my teaching, you won't! *G*) you'll at least be happy with yourself. Only Toerags need apply.

Go talk to Balladeer about being nekkid - but watch out: he'll probably try to cram a Vienna sausage down your throat - hey, would HE do as a tutor?

Anyway - I think your Sonnet is fine and I'm an English major so I have, you know, authority and all!!! (Sadly, Marilyn is right...)
