There are among mans' emotions, Possibly hundreds of divisions. Many are happy notions, The rest are devastations.. When young I anticipated each sunrise, But now I dread each day. When young I enjoyed each new surprise, But now I dread what comes my way... All things are now just a myth, What seems the truth is but a lie. What used to bring me happiness, Now hurts, now wants to make me die... What I love is out of bounds, This for sure I find. That which moves me, evades my needs, Tempting, enticing, tormenting my mind... The sunlight shines, it warms my being, Rain bathes me from above. But an "energy" eludes me that I need most, So shy, so refraining, this beauty called Love... The very existance of all creation, Depends upon Love- for life to be. But man withers and dies just like a flower, Withholding that "force", so pure- so Free! written by James David 2-12-91 "Love is the "force" that fuels the Heart" |

Excellent work, I find myself in complete agreement. Now and forever, my heart hears ~one voice~. Wow dad, this is probably one of your "best" that I've read! Actually, I hadn't seen this one before! I'm so glad you shared it here! So much truth in it! Fabulous read, and so devastatingly real! I hope you have finally found that which you sought. I only wish that it could be under different circumstances for myself, but would deny neither of you every happiness. Knowlege tempered by wisdom...Wisdom tamed by youth. |

True love is pure...that is so true. Up until recently, I had contemplated whether or not it really existed, your daughter has shown me the most genuine love I could have ever imagined. I know her values stem from upbringing, you should be very proud. Exceptional poem. Michael |

I just read your poem and was wondering if you still dread each day as you did when you wrote this poem. What is this about love being out of bounds? You wrote this in 91' and fortunately did not know me. I am wondering what love you are talking about in this poem. Tell us more. Light hath power over darkness. |

Beautifully written! The very existance of all creation, Depends upon Love- for life to be. But man withers and dies just like a flower, Withholding that "force", so pure- so Free! So very Biblical! For God is Love, and all existance depends upon that love, for that is what we know as Life! |
