O, distant life, demanding more attention,
Abandon me, so I may see my dear.
And take with thee the ever granted tension
And make the irksome troubles disappear.
God, cleanse my mind of thoughts it often sees
And let it rest, in the embrace of void.
Erase the letters, numbers and degrees--
The company by which I am employed.
Instead, allow me to imagine that I’m warm
And undisturbed by fierce and brute December
And let the vacuum of my mind take on her form,
With which informed, my mind shall remember.
Into the vacant thought, when thought does part,
I’ll pour her spirit from the abyss of my heart

I fell in love and kept on falling

Dwelling too much on the future can surely cause much distress in the present! Very good Master.

You sure have a beautiful way with words!  I love your style of rhyme....Flows exquisitely!  I must say, I'll be looking for more from you to read!  I am an avid fan after just one bite!  ROFL

Thank you poetFemmeFatale and what a beautiful name! I'm glad you liked this one, I just started writing sonnets and it's been fun. It's a great style indeed, but I often have problems with the iambic meter. Anyway, thank you for responding and keep biting *S*!

I'm so glad to see you venturing into the world of sonnets.... You're doing a great job...

Think we could convince you to try pantoums? villanelles? sestinas???

Well, I've tried villanelles, that didn't work. As for the other two I don't even know the style.
