I'll have a spoon of tofu,
Seven bean sprouts on the side,
Iced tea, with zero sugar,
For dessert, half a kumquat, dried.

Ordering lunch is a science,
Not something to do on a whim.
You'll note that the items I order
Are intended to keep me slim.

If you aren't just as selective.
If you eat at the drop of a hat,
Then don't blame it on your genes,
When you find yourself getting fat.

Rather than envy my figure,
Take control. Here's my advice:
Learn to enjoy raw broccoli,
Celery and boiled brown rice.

When your cheek bones push through your face
And your legs are like poles of a rake,
Reward your conquest of fat
With a a sliver of angel food cake.

Dom,
Reads like my wife ordering my lunch.
Great poem.
