Silk Promises

Cradled against each other
they lay,
flesh meeting flesh,
two melded into one
in a dance of love.
Whispers fall like silk
upon waiting ears;
promises not meant to be kept.
She falls asleep with thoughts of love in her head
and awakens once more
alone.

"When you come to the edge of the light which is all you know. And are about to step off into the darkness that is unknown...Faith is knowing one of two things will happen...there will be something to stand on...or you will learn how to fly." -Unknown

Dear God...please give me wings!

Beautifully sad, hoot......and sadly beautiful.

To the world you might be just one person but to one person you might just be the world.

silk is so slippery hoot, the fabric that is strong and sure is within you.  Lovely poem.

In the dew of little things,
the heart finds its morning
and is refreshed.

Hoot -
Silken phrases spun here.
The fabric of the heart.
Very, very alluring.
Nicely spun.
