NEVER BEEN KISSED

Does she know how bad I've missed her?
Does she know how she warms me inside?
God, I've never even kissed her,
But I know she's meant to be my bride.

She dons an angel's essence.
With the innocense of a child.
The Darkness yields to her presence,
Her passion flows like the wind, wild.

She dances in my dreams at night,
I can hear her voice softly sing.
The one thing in this world I know is right,
I long to give her everything.

She finds a comfort in my poetry.
Longs to lay her head upon my chest.
I'll never understand just what she sees in me,
I only know in her I'm blessed.

Where I was dead, I breathe once more.
Where there was pain, there now is peace.
Emotion I've never felt before,
In her finds sweet release.

The mate to my soul I've yet to meet,
Still all of my life I've missed her.
In her I'm finally made complete,
Yet I've never even kissed her.

Michael Anderson

And so, being young and dipt in folly
I fell in love with melancholy,
But dreams - of those who dream as I,
Aspiringly, are damned, and die:

Michael, I am sure her heart hears what your lips so eloquently express!

Indeed, sentiment such as this will trip from your lips to fall into her heart, distance not withstanding.

Do you believe in fate? I do. Fate brought you here just after Femme became a member... it was destiny! I'm so happy for you... and I love your poem...

This is beautiful, Michael... though it leaves me aching with longing to have such an effect. *S*

Your words of love are beautiful Michael. Made me recall and wish for the anticipation of that first kiss.

It would be a joy for anyone to be kissed by such a beautiful poem.

Very pretty Michael...your stuff is so damn good! (Get some Certs before ya do kiss her though)....You know?..."If she kissed ya once will she kiss ya again?".....Great work....You, and Balladeer and a few others need to get together a publish a book. In fact, there are so many folks here with talent extraordinaire as yourself, it's a shame it's not "out there" for every one to read!!!

Did I say I never kissed her? Well, maybe I did once...

Thanks everybody for the replies.
Toerag, that a mighty big compliment...and extra big thanks to you. I am working on that book thing.

PFF deserves to be happy...and so do you. When you two first kiss...I know they'll be a poem about it...I'm just patiently waiting.

** Sigh ** Michael, this is just beautiful....thank you. And thank you to all of you who had such really nice comments about "us".... You people keep me smiling, especially you Michael. This poem touched a part of me way deep down....in my heart...very intimately romantic. (blushing deeply) I am honored as always when you write for me....I will find you tonight, will be on later, ok? Love you.
